This blog specially covers the collection of a few handicrafts I have collected over a period of time.
These things or rather ideas are sourced to the few artists I have come across from the Santiniketan University and also the many artists that live in the villages near it.
The Photograph shows some handicrafts made out of clay, depicting village women taking rest.
There are different artists which specialize in this art of making small everyday figures in India, out of so many of them there are some, very few in fact who can make these figures called Dokra.
Dokra is very famously associated to Bengal in specific. Thus the traditional 'Dokra art of Bengal'.
